Winter is approaching and the weather is getting alot colder. Its still autumn, average temperature is around 16 to 7 degrees. The smog stopped abit too, so the air is much better. Particulate matter(pm2.5) reading is at 82-161, at an unhealthy level  but at least not at dangerous.

The fact that I am spending this winter and christmas without my loved ones this year is making me a little homesick. Sure I have friends here and have made good friends too, but the fact of life of making friends in the hostel is that, eventually everyone moves on. Then again I have met amazing people like Matthias from switzerland, the spanish girls, the handsome english bloke A.J, The swedish girls anja and sanna, and of course my best china 老外 pals Xiao Juan and Xiao Hei. These guys made my time here easier and definitely much more fun.

Maybe I am getting a little tired from the constant need of saying ’ Hi, my name is Shawn. Yup, I have an excellent command of english because I come from Singapore.’ Its funny how I haven’t toured much of beijing but I can rattle off details and description of places and give reviews like which part of the wall is better, what food to eat, where to go shopping and stuff. 

Still having the chance to be here is definitely something I will not regret, although there are things that I regret not handling properly after coming over. Well, I’ll be back in abt 2 months time, so Its gonna come quick. see you soon.
